Boris Eifman and Oleg Gabyshev became the laureates of the Saint Petersburg Government Art and Culture Prize

Boris Eifman and the Company leading soloist Oleg Gabyshev were named the laureates of the Saint Petersburg Government Art and Culture Prize for 2018. The choreographer and Eifman Ballet star were honored with an award in the nomination “For achievements in music and dramatic art” for creating the ballet The Pygmalion Effect.

The awards were handed out today in Smolny by the Acting Governor of Saint Petersburg Alexander Beglov. Oleg Gabyshev was absent for good reason: these days he’s touring with the Company in the United States.
