From November 16 to December 16, Eifman Ballet will perform in France, the Netherlands and Belgium. Dance devotees of the three European countries will see the ballet Anna Karenina, which is one of the most important productions in the rich artistic biography of Boris Eifman and his company.

The geography of the upcoming tour is wide-reaching. In November, Eifman Ballet will visit Lyon, Amsterdam, Apeldoorn (the Netherlands), the Belgian cities of Ghent and Antwerp. In December, theatregoers of such French cities as Tours, Nantes, Bordeaux, Nice, Montpellier and Toulouse, will be introduced to the art of Boris Eifman.

The highlight of the four-week tour will be a series of shows in the French capital, where the Company will give five performances. The Paris season of Eifman Ballet will continue from November 28 to December 2. The last time when the Company performed in the “capital of the world” was in February 2015 with Up & Down. Anna Karenina is also familiar to Parisians: eight years ago, Boris Eifman’s dance interpretation of the novel by Leo Tolstoy sold out the hall of the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées as part of the closure of the French-Russian cross-year.

The audience of a number of cities – Ghent, Tours, Bordeaux, Nice, Montpellier and Toulouse – will meet Eifman Ballet for the first time. The performances in Antwerp and Nantes will also be of special importance: the local audience, who has already seen a work of the choreographer, however, has not had the chance to appreciate Anna Karenina.

Eifman Ballet dancers will perform at the prestigious stages of Europe. In particular, performances in the capital of France will be held at the Palais des Congrès de Paris, which has a seating capacity of over 3700 and has repeatedly welcomed world-known music stars and hosted famous events (with Eurovision Song Contest among them). In Lyon, the Company will perform at the Centre de Congrès de Lyon, the main concert hall of which is capable of accommodating more than 3000 people. Amsterdam performances will be held at the Royal Theatre Carré.
