Eifman Ballet will present a choreographic interpretation of Eugene Onegin to the Russian audience

On May 18, the Eifman Ballet’s tour will start in the cities of Russia. Spectators there will see the renowned production Eugene Onegin, a choreographic rendition of the immortal novel in verse by Alexander Pushkin. The tour will end on May 26.
The playbill of the upcoming tour includes performances in Cherepovets (May 18), Vologda (May 20), Yaroslavl (May 22 and 23), Nizhny Novgorod (May 25 and 26). In Vologda, the Company will present two performances in one day. It is important to note that in this city, as well as in Cherepovets, Eifman Ballet will perform for the first time in its 46-year history. The Company has not come to Yaroslavl since 1980. On the contrary, over the past five years, the audience of Nizhny Novgorod has had the opportunity to annually appreciate the unparalleled ballet repertoire created by the world-famous choreographer and his dancers.
The large venues in the regions of the country will host Eifman Ballet: Palace of Metallurgists (Cherepovets), Vologda Drama Theatre, Millennium Concert Center (Yaroslavl), Nizhny Novgorod State Youth Theatre.
Eugene Onegin is one of the four ballets by Eifman that make up the unique literary and choreographic tetralogy Another Realm for the Word. It also includes such productions based on the works of Russian classical literature as Anna Karenina, Beyond Sin (based on the novel The Brothers Karamazov by Fyodor Dostoevsky), The Seagull. The official tour partner of Eifman Ballet in Cherepovets is PAO “Severstal”. The performances in Vologda, Yaroslavl and Nizhny Novgorod will be held as part of the Great Tour program organized by the Federal State Budgetary Institution of Culture “ROSCONCERT” in accordance with the All-Russian tour and concert plan of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.
