St. Petersburg spectators will see the best ballets by Boris Eifman

In March the Company will present at the Alexandrinsky Theatre the best productions of its current repertory. It will the first series of performances of Eifman Ballet in St. Petersburg in 2017, the year of the Company’s 40th anniversary.

The schedule for March will include such ballets as Red Giselle (March 6 and 7), Tchaikovsky. PRO et CONTRA, premiere of 2016 (March 26 and 27), Rodin (March 24 and 25) and Anna Karenina (March 26 and 27). The performance of Rodin on March 25 will take place on the Cultural Worker's Day and the second night of Anna Karenina will be held on the occasion of World Theatre Day.

The main female role in Red Giselle on one of the nights will be danced for the first time by the Bolshoi Ballet soloist Angelina Karpova. On another date Daria Reznik, the new soloist of Efiman Ballet who joined the Company last summer, will make her debut in this part. Also, during the March series of performances the St. Petersburg spectators will see the acknowledged Eifman Ballet stars: Maria Abashova, Lyubov Andreyeva, Sergey Volobuev, Oleg Gavyshev and others.
