Eifman Ballet will go on a grandiose Russian tour

In the second half of November, Eifman Ballet will begin large-scale Russian tour. The Company will present to the audience in the regions the world-famous productions Anna Karenina and Rodin, Her Eternal Idol. The performances are dedicated to the 45th anniversary of the renowned Company which is celebrated in 2022.
Eifman Ballet will show its art in Novosibirsk (November 22 and 23), Tyumen (November 25 and 26), Yekaterinburg (November 28 and 29), Chelyabinsk (December 1 and 2), Ufa (December 5 and 6) and Samara (December 8 and 9). The audience of Novosibirsk and Chelyabinsk will see a ballet about the great French sculptor. Spectators of Tyumen and Samara will enjoy the choreographic interpretation of the novel by Leo Tolstoy. In Yekaterinburg and Ufa, the Company will present both productions. In all cities, except Yekaterinburg, this repertoire will be shown for the first time. The Company will visit the capital of Bashkortostan for the first time since 1978.
Eifman Ballet will be received by the most famous regional stage venues in Russia: Novosibirsk State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre, Tyumen Philharmonic, Yekaterinburg State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre, Glinka Chelyabinsk State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre, Bashkir State Opera and Ballet Theatre, Shostakovich Samara Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre.
The tour in these cities will be sponsored by Rosneft Oil Company as part of the Great Tour program organized by Federal State Budgetary Institution of Culture “ROSCONCERT” in accordance with the All-Russian tour and concert plan of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.
In addition, in the first month of winter, Eifman Ballet will visit Kazan (December 11 and 12) and Cheboksary (December 14 and 15). A two-act gala program will be shown in both cities. Spectators of Cheboksary will also be able to appreciate the production Anna Karenina. The performances of the Company will take place on the stages of the Jalil Tatar State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre and the Chuvash State Opera and Ballet Theatre.
“We started by touring the Soviet Union, we were not allowed to go abroad. And we know how enthusiastically Russian audience accepts our art. Today, the state allocates funds so that many companies can perform in the regions of the country, and Eifman Ballet is taking advantage of this opportunity,” notes Boris Eifman.
