Premiere of Boris Eifman’s screen ballet Russian Hamlet

A long-awaited event unmissable for connoisseurs of modern Russian choreographic art.
On October 22, the Aurora сinema (St. Petersburg) will host a special premiere screening of Boris Eifman’s screen ballet Russian Hamlet. The event will take place as part of the 35th Message to Man International Film Festival. The film version of the world-famous production about Prince Paul will be presented by the choreographer, who also directed the film. The screening begins at 19:00.
Russian Hamlet was shot in St. Petersburg in January 2023. Sergei Trofimov, a respected and sought-after figure in the Russian film industry, had acted as director of photography. Eifman Ballet stars played the main roles in the film: Maria Abashova (The Empress), Oleg Gabyshev (The Heir), Lyubov Andreyeva (The Wife of the Heir), Artyom Lepkov (Favorite of the Empress), Igor Subbotin (The Ghost of the Heir’s Father).
