Ural tour in honor of the anniversary of Dostoevsky

In the second half of November, Eifman Ballet will have the Ural tour. The audience of the Ural region will see the famous production Beyond Sin based on the novel The Brothers Karamazov by Fyodor Dostoevsky. The tour will be dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the great writer celebrated in 2021.

During the tour, Eifman Ballet will visit Chelyabinsk (November 16 and 17), Yekaterinburg (November 18), Tyumen (November 20) and Perm (November 22 and 23). The dancers will perform at the leading Ural venues: Glinka Chelyabinsk State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre, Yekaterinburg State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre, Tyumen Philharmonic, Soldatov Palace of Culture in Perm. The performance in Tyumen will be the first appearance of Eifman Ballet in this city in the entire 45-year history of the Company.

The Ural tour will continue the large-scale Russian tour of Eifman Ballet dedicated to the anniversary of Dostoevsky. So, in April, the Company performed the production Beyond Sin in Novosibirsk and Krasnoyarsk. In May, in Omsk, a city that had a special role in the personal and creative becoming of the writer, the audience had a chance to see the choreographic interpretation of The Brothers Karamazov. In September, Eifman Ballet brought Beyond Sin to Nizhny Novgorod, in October to Kazan and Cheboksary, and in early November to Petrozavodsk and Veliky Novgorod.

The Ural tour will take place as part of the Great Tour program organized by the Federal State Budgetary Institution of Culture “ROSCONCERT” on behalf of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.

The General Partner of the Ural tour of Eifman Ballet is RNG Joint Stock Company. The performance in Tyumen will be held with the support of Siberian Service Company JSC and of the Foundation Nash Vybor – Malaya Rodina. The General Sponsor of the performances in Perm is PJSC Uralkali.
