February performances of Eifman Ballet in St. Petersburg
“For Eifman, “a choreographer is not a profession, it is an immersion into the realm of the unknown.” And in familiar novels and plays, in memorized lines of poems, he sees details that can surprise, he discovers previously unapprehended meanings,” the renowned theorist of literature Tatiana Boborykina writes.
In February, two famous productions by Boris Eifman based on great masterpieces of Russian literature will be presented at the Alexandrinsky Theatre. On February 22 and 23, there will be performances of the choreographic hit Anna Karenina. On February 24, the Company will show the ballet Eugene Onegin.
